Brendan Kelly
Director – Conscious Builder
Brendan has 20 years of diverse experience within the building industry and proudly holds his Builder’s Registrations alongside his Electrical Contractor licenses. He is incredibly passionate and innovative about building sustainably, cultivating conscious community whilst connecting people to Boodja (land). Brendan is proudly operating outside the mainstream with his holistic approach to building, here in the South-West of WA.

Max Groszewski
Certificate IV - Residential Drafting / Diploma – Mechanical Engineering
Max came to design from the visual art world, practicing painting and sculptural installation before learning the skill of drafting. Max saw that the language of design allows for efficient collaboration; between owners, builders and engineers; to balance material properties, local laws and budget to create a design that works. Max’s design aesthetic is simple, solar passive and elegant. Concentrating on areas that you use most, to create a home that works for you.

Bel Frankcombe
Account
Bel met Brendan through their mutual love of nature, sustainability, and off grid living. They met in 2017 and now share two beautiful children together which Bel homeschools. Bel started working for New Earth in 2020 and her role is accounts and administration. With her background of Flight Attending, she is an avid traveller, often visiting her extended family in Tasmania as well as family holidays within the Southwest. She is proud to work alongside Brendan and New Earth and is excited to see their business grow.

Sandy
Interior Designer - Project Manager
Sandy is a certified Interior Designer since 2014. She always been interested in sustainable building and functionality of space. In 2016, she obtains her certification in sustainable design.
After given the opportunity to work on a hemp house construction, her passion grows stronger.
She left her home, Canada, to travel the world an learn more. Her heart stopped in the Southwest region of Australia. Through friends, she got introduce to Brendan and given a second opportunity to work on a hemp house. Since then, the work as never stopped.

James Moran
Leading hand Carpenter
Having completed his carpentry studies in Ireland, James moved to Australia in 2013, where he fell in love with the relaxed lifestyle and warmer weather. James built high end homes and commercial buildings in Sydney for several years, before making the journey West for a slower paced life. His love of health and fitness means you’ll see him pumping iron before work, practicing MMA some evenings whilst living a mindful life.

Dan
Carpenter
Originally from New Zealand, Dan has been in Australia for the last 6 years. He has been working as carpenter for the last 7 years. Off the tools, he is into CrossFit to stay health and fit, hunting and gathering off the land and in the sea.

Shelley Matthews
Carpenter
Shelly loves all things animal, mushroom and plant related and has a slight ocean addiction. She’s a mum to the greatest little kid and has two wonderful pups and a horse that complete our wacky family.

Justin Buchanan
Carpenter
Local carpenter living in the South-West for a long time now. JB breaks in horses on his acreage down near Hamelin Bay where he also runs a campground. Mental and physical wellbeing and fitness is important, off the tools, you will find him lifting weights at Cross Fit, attending, and running men’s groups and practicing mindfulness. Escaping the South-West winters, takes JB up North to Kalbarri for the surf and more horse breaking.

Connor Cannon
Carpenter
Started apprenticeship in 2014, finished in 2018 and has been a carpenter since then. He loves the family feel of the New Earth Living team and the environmentally conscious work that he gets to be apart of. When he’s not at work, Connor is either skateboarding or at the beach and is generally spending time outdoors.

Jimmy Pringle
Electrician
Originally from QLD but living in the Margaret River Region for over a decade now, if not on the tools you will find him at one of the areas many surf breaks.
Jimmy enjoys working with clients to bring to life their dream home and employs a creative approach to his work to help achieve this.

Sammy Jones
Carpenter
Sam is a qualified Carpenter of 14 years. I choose to work for New Earth for a few reasons but the main ones are that quality is a top priority, some builders are all about volume but with New Earth we use the most beautiful timbers and materials and are given the chance to do some stunning work to the high level of quality that I personally would expect on my own home. Custom, creative and enjoyable. On the job, Sam will be accompanied by his gorgeous border collie River and off the job, you’ll find him in the garden, reading or playing music.

Shakiah
Apprentice Carpenter
Shak is our third year Apprentice carpenter and so far is enjoying working and creating with wood. He also has a love of woodwork with an element of art to it and likes to utilising different timber’s alongside up cycling recycled materials. Outside of his apprenticeship, you will find him camping, fishing and 4WDing.

Tim Fleay
Apprentice Carpenter
Tim is doing his apprenticeship with New Earth Living. He chose this company because it aligns with his values of conscious design and material selection along with learning a combination of new and old techniques to build houses in the future.
In his spare time he likes creating with timber, designing, gardening and DJing hardcore techno.
